Sammy Lloyd Carter, 91, passed peacefully at home on August 13, 2020. He was the husband of the late Yvonne E. Carter. Born in Hubbard, Minnesota, on August 17, 1929, he was a son of the late Mabel and Woodford Carter.
Sammy served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955. He was a barber and the proprietor of Sams Barbershop and later worked and retired from Cranston Printworks.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, riding motorcycles and playing chess with his son and grandson. an
He leaves behind son, Ronald D. Carter, his fiancé Kim Dubois, a granddaughter, April Curtin, her husband Earl Curtin, a grandson, Ronnie Carter, two granddaughters, Amanda Crehan and Michelle Fontaine, four great grandchildren, Dylan Curtin, Aiden, Caleb and Elijah Crehan. Sammy had 13 siblings and was the father of the late David J. Carter.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 19th from 5pm until 8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Due to Covid-19 his funeral and burial in the RI Veterans Cemetery will be private.
